Flow

I just finished knitting "Flow" by Norah Gaughan Collection Vol. 2. The yarn is Berroco "Seduce". If I had just seen this pattern in the book, I would never have made it. But, I saw a model made up at a new yarn store in Glens Falls, NY - The Yarn Angel, and the shop owner let me try it on. I love it because it is not tight or heavy. The drape is very nice and it is very airy and cool. I thought I would wear a ballet top under it (which defeats the cool factor) but with flesh color undies it is not necessary. Therefore, I shall get a lot of wear from this one!
The color is not really bright purple, it is more like a deep aubergine/eggplant. I crocheted a little lacy trim around the neckline and the hem just to dress it up a little - and I'm thinkin' maybe a crocheted flower stuck on somewhere might be nice. I actually ironed it - using a press cloth sprayed with water, pressing gently. It worked really well.
Yep, that is something else blocking in the background but I can't talk about it just yet because it is a surprise for someone I love. shhhh...
