I've Been Busy!

Here are the pincushions I mentioned before. They were a lot of fun and I'd like to make more soon.

Here is the "Comfort Quilt" I made for our Church. The Pastor brings them when he visits seriously ill members of our congregation.
I'm working on designing a bunch of new embroidered designs. These were done by ladies of the church and I just sewed it all together. Posted by Picasa

Now You Did It!

As you can see, I'm not too hip to how to add pictures and posts. The other pictures below are: Celtic Knot quilt block which I learned recently, Fish Placemat using strip quilting method - very easy and fun. Now I have to make 3 more and then a set for my daughter who likes more subtle colors like beige and green. The last picture is of 8 of the 10 star blocks I made for my church for a quilt to raffle off in the Fall. Now I will see how to get the other pictures and comments on here!

My son is moving to Texas next week. I made this for him to take with him. We'll miss him, but look forward to good things happening for him.

Now You Did It!

Greetings from Hague Prison! Yes, I'm in NY now freezing in the POURING rain. We have been here since 5/15 and have not had even one boat ride yet. I think this is a rain forest.
I've been busy knitting, reading, sewing quilt blocks, repairing boat covers, AND Ta Da! making Pin Cushions! What fun. I made a big Sunflower and then designed and made a Turtle. Then I found a blog www.boojag.com that is having a monthly pincushion challenge - a different theme each month. OK I have not been good about adding to this blog but I promise to soon have some pictures up - especially of my pin cushions. (Hmmm. I wonder how you post a picture on here???)
