A Bird and a Scarf

If I was a better photographer, you would be able to clearly see the little red headed woodpecker (or relative of one) on my palm tree. He was singing to me as I took pictures of the silk & merino lace scarf I just mailed off to someone I love.

The scarf is "Liesel" , a free pattern from Ravelry.com. The yarn is 3 balls of Lang "Silk Dream" 50% Silk/50% Merino, on size 8 needles.
Some day I will learn how to arrange these pictures.
Does anyone know why the blog is so narrow, and how can I get pix to be side by side to save space?
